19/08/2009 - Ok this is it, making a start on the firewall

Its been 2 years since I started the build, time passes quickly doesn't it

Anyway fabricated the lower middle engine brackets, the strengthener for below the firewall recess, the brake doubler and spacers for under the top engine brackets.

The hardest part of all this was finding the right bits to fabricate from !  It wasn't until I went online that I found that you use the 6' length of angle in the middle picture below as opposed to any other piece and the 063x11" piece for the doubler and spacers.

Drew a few lines on the firewall for the brake doubler to keep it straight.

Made the decision that as I going to fly a fuel injected engine aircraft then the boost pump doubler was not required as I have the boost pump and filter from Airflow performance.
